After a hiatus the TJSlideways.com Podcast returns with sprint car driver Joshua Turner that picked up his first career feature victory during the Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP event at Butler Motor Speedway.  Topics range from how it really feels to pick up a first win, advice for local drivers that don't find victory lane right away in sprint car racing, and the variety of sprint car racing Turner has done over the past eight years. 

This edition of the TJSlideways.com Podcast T.J. and Trevor Hollis discuss some off season topics of the early schedules, T.J. and Trevor's racing bucket lists for the upcoming season, and why we don't stop our lives to watch tape delayed races on television.  

The "off season" begins by interviewing the 2017 Attica Raceway Park 410 Sprint Car Champion Chris Andrews.  T.J. and Chris discuss getting back int the Burmeister #16 car, indoor midget racing, and other topics. 

If you grew up around short track racing in the state of Michigan through the 80's and 90's you likely heard the action called over the p.a. system by Mark Cowan.  Auctioneer by day and race announcer by night Cowan called some of the most special moments in short track racing at I-96 Speedway, Crystal Motor Speedway, and various venues in between.   Sunday Cowan will be inducted into the Michigan Motorsports Hall of Fame.  This was a good opportunity to sit down with Cowan and discuss his induction, his announcing career, and what he does around the race track today.
